Экспериментальная проверка в Каспийском море возможности применения научного многолучевого эхолота на научно-исследовательском судне «Исследователь Каспия» для обнаружения рыб в широкой полосе обзора.</p></sec><sec><title>Методы</title><p>Методы. Проведены гидроакустические съемки одновременно научным многолучевым эхолотом и научным эхолотом Simrad EK60. Выполнено сравнение записей научного многолучевого эхолота с записями научного эхолота Simrad EK60. Рассчитаны значения коэффициента обратного объемного рассеяния вдоль траектории движения НИС для записей научного многолучевого эхолота и научного эхолота Simrad EK60, и проведено их сравнение.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Величины коэффициента обратного объемного рас- сеяния для записей научного многолучевого эхолота и научного эхолота Simrad EK60 имеют близкие значения. Выявлено преимущество широкой полосы обзора научного многолучевого эхолота над узкой полосой обзора научного эхолота Simrad EK60.</p></sec><sec><title>Выводы</title><p>Выводы. Экспериментальная проверка научного многолучевого эхолота в Каспийском море подтвердила возможность его применения для обнаружения рыб в широкой полосе обзора. Однако для повышения эффективности работы эхолота в этом режиме необходимо продолжить совершенствование алгоритмов обработки гидроакустических данных в части фильтрации гидродинамических шумов, изменения размещения подводного блока научного многолучевого эхолота путем встраивания его в днище судна или в выдвижном киле.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objectives</title><p>Objectives. Experimental trial of using the scientific multibeam echosounder installed on the research vessel “Issledovatel Kaspiya” was conducted in the Caspian Sea with the purpose to detect fish in a wild field of view.</p></sec><sec><title>Methods</title><p>Methods. Both the scientific multibeam echosounder and the scientific echosounder Simrad EK60 were simultaneously utilized for performing acoustic surveys. Data obtained from the scientific multibeam echosounder were compared to data obtained from Simrad EK60. Coefficients of volume backscattering at the vessel’s tracks obtained from the multibeam echosounder and the Simrad EK60 echosounder were also compared.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Values of the volume backscattering coefficient obtained both from the multibeam echosounder and the Simrad EK60 echosounder are rather close. It was revealed that a wild field of view of the multibeam echosounder is more advantageous than the narrow field of view of Simrad EK60.</p></sec><sec><title>Main conclusions</title><p>Main conclusions. Full-scale tests of the multibeam echosounder performed in the Caspian Sea well proved that it can be used for detecting fish in a wide field of view.
