Исследование орнитофауны и их статуса в лесостепи и степи среднего Прииртышья нами проводятся с 1973 г. по настоящее время. Анализ литературных источников проведен со времени путешествия Паллас П.С. с 1871 г. Кроме того, использованы сведения по водно-болотным угодьям Прииртышья, находящиеся в свободном доступе в сети Интернет.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. В начале XX столетия в окрестностях Омска встречено около 200 видов птиц, из них 125 видов гнездящихся. Сейчас в Омске и его окрестностях отмечено около 150 видов птиц. Среди 290 видов птиц Среднего Прииртышья 48 видов (16,6%) относятся к естественным хозяевам вирусов гриппа А. Из них, как минимум 40 видов относятся к пролетным, а 25 видов из них являются гнездящимися на этой территории. Кроме основных видов-хозяев вируса гриппа, список птиц среднего Прииртышья включает несколько видов падальщиков и хищников, а также синантропные виды птиц. Эти виды могут делить среду обитания или кормовые ресурсы с основными видами-хозяевами вирусов гриппа. Вирусы гриппа типа А могут передаваться между видами либо путем прямого, либо косвенного контакта путем механического распространения или загрязнения ресурсов.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Учитывая, что через территорию Среднего Прииртышья пролегает 3 крупнейших пролетных пути птиц, с учетом значительного количества водно-болотных угодий создаются предпосылки массового одномоментного скопления разных популяций и видов перелетных птиц - переносчиков вирусов и соответственно высокая вероятность обмена вирусными геномами друг с другом с дальнейшим их распространением в новые регионы.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. The work was to compile a list of bird species and their status in the forest-steppe and steppe of the Middle Irtysh region at the present time and to analyse their potential ability in terms of the transmission of influenza viruses that pose a danger to humans and farm animals.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and Methods</title><p>Materials and Methods. The study of avifauna and their status in the forest-steppe and steppe of the Middle Irtysh region has been conducted by us from 1973 to the present. The analysis of literary sources has been carried out since the time of P.S. Pallas's travels in the region in 1871. In addition, information on the wetlands of the Irtysh region which is freely available on the Internet was used.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. At the beginning of the 20th century, about 200 species of birds were recorded in the vicinity of Omsk, 125 of them being breeding species. At present about 150 species of birds have been recorded in Omsk and its environs. Of the 290 bird species of the Middle Irtysh region, 48 species (16.6%) belong among the natural hosts of influenza A viruses. Of these, at least 40 species are migratory and 25 species nest there. In addition to the prinicipal influenza virus host species, the list of birds of the Middle Irtysh region includes several species of scavengers and predators, as well as synanthropic bird species. These species may share habitat or food resources with the main host species of influenza viruses. Influenza A viruses can be transmitted between species either by direct or indirect contact through mechanical propagation or contamination of nutritional resources.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
