Провести морфологическое исследование колючих вшей (Anoplura: Echinophthiriidae) рода Antarctophthirus Enderlein, 1906, снятых с северных морских котиков (Callorhinus ursinus L., 1758) на о. Тюлений (Охотское море, Россия).</p></sec><sec><title>Материал и методы</title><p>Материал и методы. Колючие вши были собраны из носовых ходов щенков северного морского котика C. ursinus во время плановой эколого-вирусологической экспедиции на о. Тюлений в августе 2017 г. Четырнадцать образцов колючих вшей (11 самцов имаго, 1 самка имаго, 1 нимфа 2-го возраста, 1 нимфа 3-го возраста) хранились в 70%-ом этиловом спирте при комнатной температуре с момента сбора до начала исследования. Морфологические особенности насекомых были исследованы с помощью световой и сканирующей электронной микроскопии и сопоставлены с имеющимися данными научной литературы.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. У обследованных образцов обнаружены уникальные паттерны расположения щетинок, что для представителей данного семейства является достаточным видовым признаком и позволяет идентифицировать новый вид колючих вшей.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Описан новый вид колючий вшей - Antarctophthirus nevelskoyi n.sp. - названный в честь знаменитого русского исследователя Дальнего Востока адмирала Геннадия Ивановича Невельского (1813-1876).</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. To perform a morphological study of seal lice (Anoplura: Echinophthiriidae) of the genus Antarctophthirus Enderlein, 1906 taken from Northern fur seals (Callorhinus ursinus L., 1758) at Tyuleniy Island, Okhotsk Sea, Russia).</p></sec><sec><title>Material and Methods</title><p>Material and Methods. Seal lice were collected from the nasal passages of Northern fur seal C. ursinus pups during a scheduled ecological and virological expedition to Tyuleniy Island in August 2017. Fourteen samples of seal lice (11 imago males, 1 imago female, 1 nymph of the 2nd age, 1 nymph of the 3-rd age) were stored in 70% ethanol at room temperature from the time of collection until the start of the study. Morphological features of the insects were studied using light and scanning electron microscopy and compared with the available data in the scientific literature.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Unique patterns of the arrangement of spines were found in the examined samples that is a sufficient species feature for representatives of this family and allows the identification of a new species of seal lice.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
